Glass Gorilla Mask
Glass gorilla mask, designed as part of my solo exhibition “Back to the Jungle!” at the National Glass Museum in Leerdam (October 16th, 2020, to January 15th, 2022).
Most masks are symmetrical and look straight at you: my goal was therefore a more asymmetrical mask “that would look diagonally into the lens” with a gentle gaze.
To create this and other masks, clever new glassblowing techniques were developed.
